When you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication credentials. As you use the app, we store your reading progress, vocabulary data, review history, and bookmarks. We also collect basic session information including approximate location (city/country level, derived from IP address) for analytics purposes.
Your data is used solely to provide and improve the Read a lot service: syncing your reading progress across devices, powering the spaced repetition review system, and generating personal learning statistics. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Your data is stored securely on Supabase infrastructure (powered by PostgreSQL) with row-level security policies ensuring users can only access their own data. Book content you import is stored in your personal account and is not accessible to other users.
The app caches reading content and vocabulary data locally in your browser (IndexedDB) to enable offline reading. This data stays on your device and is synced to the server when you reconnect.
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management only. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising pixels.
You may delete your account and all associated data at any time from your profile page. Upon deletion, all your books, vocabulary, reading progress, and review history are permanently removed from our servers.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice within the app.
